Self-Discovery

As long as the focus of my aspiration and action is outside of myself, I will experience despair and loss, never to escape a deep sense of being incomplete, inadequate and helpless. Whatever I may try and accomplish, I will fail and die, if I look outside of myself, thinking fulfillment and completion lies in things I may possess. No god, and no friend can save me, if they are outside of myself. For how could God have meaning, if death is real? How could there be wholeness and love if anyone could really die and be separate? Life in this world is what death is. It is separation, perception of differences. It is what must forever be impossible, if there is one Source of reality. It is only what I have chosen to believe and accept as reality. It is the worshiping of death. It is a mistake. Nothing more, for God is still God, and nothing I ever thought had any effect on reality. This, and only this is my freedom and perfect safety.

If there is one Source of life, I cannot be outside of it. Differences and separation are not true. Reality is one. I am it. That is what A Course In Miracles teaches me over and over again. It is a required course, offering me a mind training to undo my false sense of self, daily lessons to heal my illusory perception of separated states and minds.

It is very simple, and inevitable. I am still me. A Course In Miracles is simply the discovery of Self. Everything I think I am and do in the thoughts I think I think is used for a new purpose to heal my mind. I simply ask for help, follow instructions and trust. A healed mind knows no fear, no anxiety, no lack of any kind. It knows itself as the one Self, united with its Creator. That is what I want: to be whole, to be free from any belief in limitation, and be what I am.

Have you seen "The Snowman" by Ramond Briggs? It is on YouTube. What an amazing movie with an even more wonderful music! Do A Course In Miracles and reach the point where the sad ending of this movie will never again be a part of your life only to arrest your thoughts and dreams in another cycle of death. You are not bound but free forever. Enjoy...

This World Is Not Home To You

Merry Christmas to you, dear Reader. May we all pause an instant and listen to be united in a holy instant of communication with each other and God. In that we remember who we really are. In that we remember where we are at home. It is not here. You will never fit in here. And you know it.

There is one lesson in A Course In Miracles that makes particular reference to this idea that you are an alien here. It is a powerful lesson, speaking to the innocent Child in you, defenseless and with infinite patience. He is calling you to let Him go back home and take you with Him. Everyone knows this Child, and knows of what He wants to tell you, just as everyone knows of Him who calls to you through this lesson to change your mind about yourself. Jesus is speaking, and no one knows it better than He whose birth we celebrate in this time...

I will be still an instant and go home.

"This world you seem to live in is not home to you. And somewhere in your mind you know that this is true. A memory of home keeps haunting you, as if there were a place that called you to return, although you do not recognize the voice, nor what it is the voice reminds you of. Yet still you feel an alien here, from somewhere all unknown. Nothing so definite that you could say with certainty you are an exile here. Just a persistent feeling, sometimes not more than a tiny throb, at other times hardly remembered, actively dismissed, but surely to return to mind again.

No one but knows whereof we speak. Yet some try to put by their suffering in games they play to occupy their time, and keep their sadness from them. Others will deny that they are sad, and do not recognize their tears at all. Still others will maintain that what we speak of is illusion, not to be considered more than but a dream. Yet who, in simple honesty, without defensiveness and self-deception, would deny he understands the words we speak?

We speak today for everyone who walks this world, for he is not at home. He goes uncertainly about in endless search, seeking in darkness what he cannot find; not recognizing what it is he seeks. A thousand homes he makes, yet none contents his restless mind. He does not understand he builds in vain. The home he seeks can not be made by him. There is no substitute for Heaven. All he ever made was hell.

Perhaps you think it is your childhood home that you would find again. The childhood of your body, and its place of shelter, are a memory now so distorted that you merely hold a picture of a past that never happened. Yet there is a Child in you Who seeks His Father's house, and knows that He is alien here. This childhood is eternal, with an innocence that will endure forever. Where this Child shall go is holy ground. It is His holiness that lights up Heaven, and that brings to earth the pure reflection of the light above, wherein are earth and Heaven joined as one.

It is this Child in you your Father knows as His Own Son. It is this Child Who knows His Father. He desires to go home so deeply, so unceasingly, His voice cries unto you to let Him rest a while. He does not ask for more than just a few instants of respite; just an interval in which He can return to breathe again the holy air that fills His Father's house. You are His home as well. He will return. But give Him just a little time to be Himself, within the peace that is His home, resting in silence and in peace and love.

This Child needs your protection. He is far from home. He is so little that He seems so easily shut out, His tiny voice so readily obscured, His call for help almost unheard amid the grating sounds and harsh and rasping noises of the world. Yet does He know that in you still abides His sure protection. You will fail Him not. He will go home, and you along with Him.

This Child is your defenselessness; your strength. He trusts in you. He came because He knew you would not fail. He whispers of His home unceasingly to you. For He would bring you back with Him, that He Himself might stay, and not return again where He does not belong, and where He lives an outcast in a world of alien thoughts. His patience has no limits. He will wait until you hear His gentle Voice within you, calling you to let Him go in peace, along with you, to where He is at home and you with Him.

When you are still an instant, when the world recedes from you, when valueless ideas cease to have value in your restless mind, then will you hear His Voice. So poignantly He calls to you that you will not resist Him longer. In that instant He will take you to His home, and you will stay with Him in perfect stillness, silent and at peace, beyond all words, untouched by fear and doubt, sublimely certain that you are at home.

Rest with Him frequently today. For He was willing to become a little Child that you might learn of Him how strong is he who comes without defenses, offering only love's messages to those who think he is their enemy. He holds the might of Heaven in His hand and calls them friend, and gives His strength to them, that they may see He would be Friend to them. He asks that they protect Him, for His home is far away, and He will not return to it alone.

Christ is reborn as but a little Child each time a wanderer would leave his home. For he must learn that what he would protect is but this Child, Who comes defenseless and Who is protected by defenselessness. Go home with Him from time to time today. You are as much an alien here as He.

Take time today to lay aside your shield which profits nothing, and lay down the spear and sword you raised against an enemy without existence. Christ has called you friend and brother. He has even come to ask your help in letting Him go home today, completed and completely. He has come as does a little child, who must beseech his father for protection and for love. He rules the universe, and yet He asks unceasingly that you return with Him, and take illusions as your gods no more.

You have not lost your innocence. It is for this you yearn. This is your heart's desire. This is the voice you hear, and this the call which cannot be denied. The holy Child remains with you. His home is yours. Today He gives you His defenselessness, and you accept it in exchange for all the toys of battle you have made. And now the way is open, and the journey has an end in sight at last. Be still an instant and go home with Him, and be at peace a while."

I Need Do Nothing

I need do nothing. I don't have to make up something. I don't have to come up with a great post, change the world, make it better or the like. I need do nothing. There is no world. There is no blog. This is not my home.

I am mistaken. That's all. I look out into the universe. I'll disappear.

You really need do nothing, because you are already who you are. You are not what you are not, and never will be. You can only be mistaken about what you are. The only remedy for this mistake is the miraculous change of mind to re-member, or to re-cognize, who you really are.

Merry Christmas to you...

The Master Teacher of A Course In Miracles on YouTube

Here is my first attempt to put the videos of the Master Teacher of A Course In Miracles on YouTube. I start with I Am Sustained By The Love Of God - "Entanglement" The Greatest Mystery In Physics from one of his latest series. YouTube asks me to break them up into 10 min segments which means that there will be six clips for a one hour video. The actual video quality is much better then the impression one gets from these video stills.

I hope this format is helpful to receive this miraculous correspondence of the teachings of A Course In Miracles and all its light and love for which it speaks. If you find the videos beneficial, please pass them on and let others know about it. Finally a long awaited systematic way to train our minds to a complete alternative to loneliness, pain, sickness and death, and be what we truly are in God's Mind. Imagine the world actually watching and listening to these videos!!!

I also would like to upload short clips from these videos to highlight specific ideas and themes. Here is the first one, also from the same video production, presenting the idea of projection that makes perception. In other words, you see a reflection of yourself. You are dreaming.

"Peace to all seeking hearts today. The light has come to offer miracles to bless the tired world. It will find rest today, for we will offer what we have received." (ACIM, Lesson 345)

Merry Christmas to you...

Christmas -- The End Of Sacrifice

Christmas takes on a new meaning. I find it in this prayer poem from the workbook of A Course In Miracles (Lesson 343). I do not need to be a body. I do not need to get old and sick and die in the end. In fact I cannot be a body, except in dreams that are all already over. A light has come into my dream, making this truth evident to my mind. I am free in the certainty that the Christ is within me, born in me, today. What peace, what joy to come to realize this.

I am not asked to make a sacrifice
To find the mercy and the peace of God.

"The end of suffering can not be loss.
The gift of everything can be but gain.
You only give. You never take away.
And You created me to be like You,
so sacrifice becomes impossible
for me as well as You. I, too, must give.
And so all things are given unto me
forever and forever. As I was
created I remain. Your Son can make
no sacrifice, for he must be complete,
having the function of completing You.
I am complete because I am Your Son.
I cannot lose, for I can only give,
and everything is mine eternally.

The mercy and the peace of God are free.
Salvation has no cost. It is a gift
that must be freely given and received.
And it is this that we would learn today."

I post this lesson in its poetic form which is the blanc verse, consisting of iambic pentameter. To help you learn to appreciate it, I direct you to Ray, who wrote a nice article about the wonderful poetic prose of A Course In Miracles.

Chistmas in Wisconsin?

Here are three paragraphs from the last section -- Christmas As The End Of Sacrifice -- in chapter 15 of A Course In Miracles , where Jesus talks about sacrifice, his mission, the impossibility to find love in a body identity, and how you overcome it in the holy instant. Merry Christmas to you...

"As long as you perceive the body as your reality, so long will you perceive yourself as lonely and deprived. And so long will you also perceive yourself as a victim of sacrifice, justified in sacrificing others. For who could thrust Heaven and its Creator aside without a sense of sacrifice and loss? And who could suffer sacrifice and loss without attempting to restore himself? Yet how could you accomplish this yourself, when the basis of your attempts is the belief in the reality of the deprivation? Deprivation breeds attack, being the belief that attack is justified. And as long as you would retain the deprivation, attack becomes salvation and sacrifice becomes love.

So is it that, in all your seeking for love, you seek for sacrifice and find it. Yet you find not love. It is impossible to deny what love is and still recognize it. The meaning of love lies in what you have cast outside yourself, and it has no meaning apart from you. It is what you prefer to keep that has no meaning, while all that you would keep away holds all the meaning of the universe, and holds the universe together in its meaning. Unless the universe were joined in you it would be apart from God, and to be without Him is to be without meaning.

In the holy instant the condition of love is met, for minds are joined without the body's interference, and where there is communication there is peace. The Prince of Peace was born to re-establish the condition of love by teaching that communication remains unbroken even if the body is destroyed, provided that you see not the body as the necessary means of communication. And if you understand this lesson, you will realize that to sacrifice the body is to sacrifice nothing, and communication, which must be of the mind, cannot be sacrificed. Where, then, is sacrifice? The lesson I was born to teach, and still would teach to all my brothers, is that sacrifice is nowhere and love is everywhere. For communication embraces everything, and in the peace it re-establishes, love comes of itself."
